On Thursday, January 25, 2024 all students, faculty and staff were invited to experience the common uses of artificial intelligence (AI) supported technology and ways that AI tools are transforming various professional fields. Representatives from Microsoft and Salesforce, two of the leading AI companies in the world, were on campus to engage participants with exciting and emerging uses. Dr. Chelsy Hooper with the AU Libraries Innovation & Research Commons was also be on hand to demo emerging Adobe Creative Cloud AI tools.
This event was organized and sponsored by the Biggio Center in partnership with the AI@AU Initiative, Office of Information Technology, and Office of the Provost IT.

ElevatED Course: Exploring Generative AI Workshop (PP107C) In this hands-on event for AU employees, facilitators will lead brief intros to AI apps and structured activities to familiarize participants with the capabilities and limitations of freely available generative AI tools. After experimenting with these technologies, participants will reflect on their implications for teaching, learning, and professional activity.
