About
This half-day long, interactive workshop will prepare faculty to teach in an EASL classroom by introducing best practices for maximizing learning using the unique technology, furniture, and pedagogies of active learning classrooms. In addition to test-driving the instructional technology in the room and experiencing collaborative learning from a student’s perspective, participants will engage with a range of learning activities supported by the EASL rooms. The session itself will be designed to model the principles of engaged and active student learning promised by the design of the space. This workshop will prepare and qualify you to teach in the Mell Classroom building but the activities and goals are designed support and enhance your ability to teach in any instructional space.
These workshops are held prior to the start of the fall and spring semesters.
