About this Course
Engaged Teaching @ Auburn is an asynchronous course that offers a practical and research-based introduction to core teaching strategies in higher education. Drawing from a range of disciplines, perspectives, and classroom experiences, it is designed to support both new and experienced faculty in strengthening their teaching practice.
The course emphasizes faculty and student experiences and was developed in collaboration with both. It includes real-world examples, evidence-based approaches, and interactive opportunities to reflect on your teaching and share your ideas with others.
Participants will explore key topics such as how students learn, how to design effective and inclusive courses, and how to assess student learning in meaningful ways. Those who complete all course modules and application activities earn an Evidence-Based Teaching badge, recognizing their demonstrated understanding of effective, research-informed teaching practices. In post-course surveys, 100% of participants indicated they would recommend this course to fellow educators.
