Developing Auburn's Leaders
University Human Resources is continuing to enhance leadership development across Auburn University.
During our recent analysis of over 1,600 comments for performance development improvements, it became clear that Auburn University employees desire leadership development opportunities.
In late 2023, a Leader Development Advisory Group (LDAG) was formed with seasoned senior leaders (deans and vice presidents) from various colleges and divisions. The group's goals were to address campus needs, develop the AU Leadership Development Continuum, and identify AU supervisor leadership principles. They also identified these core initiatives:
-
Professional development opportunities
-
A mentorship program for each college/department
-
Performance development
-
Leading levels curriculum
An working group has since been formed to operationalize and implement these initiatives. This work underscores the university's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement as well as investing in the growth and success of our supervisors and employees.
As we embark on this transformative journey together, we encourage you to bookmark this page and stay abreast of updates as we work towards building a more empowered and effective leadership community at Auburn.
