Auburn University (AU) Outreach Global Office and Fulbright Association Collaboration

Our world is a global village, globalization connects us to global economies, culture, diverse populations, goods and service, global health, technology, and politics. Global Engagement Programs (GEP) aimed at promoting global awareness, diplomacy, capacity building and community outreach programs for both local and global partners. The program is designed for undergraduate, graduate students, faculty, and staff in USA and abroad.

  • Fulbright in the classroom
  • Visiting colleges abroad for US students and faculty, and visiting American college/universities by foreign faculty members and students
  • Recipocal service learning programs that provide opportunities to practice citizen diplomacy for faculty, students, staff and our global partners
  • Non degree certificate training programs for our global partners

Non-Degree Certification Programs for University Administrators, Faculty, and Staff will focus on:

  • Citizen Diplomacy
  • Civic Education
  • Entreprenurship: Fee – $250 per person
  • General Education
  • Global Issues
  • Leadership and Management: Fee – $400 per person
  • Grant Writing: Fee – $400 per person
  • Information Technology (IT): Fee – $400 per person
  • Community Outreach Programs
  • Cultural Immersion/excursion activities: Fee – (TBD)

  • Understanding of the Fulbright program and Fulbright Association
  • Community outreach programs at K-12 schools, colleges and communities aimed at multicultural learning and understanding

  • Service-learning programs in health, education, adult education, and related programs
  1. Grant workshop – part one (Available online)
    • How to identify a need for funding
    • How to find appropriate funding
    • Basic steps in submitting a proposal
    • Basic administrative needs of a projects
  2. Grant workshop – part two (Available online)
    • Basic sections of a grant proposal and approach on writing these sections
    • How to develop an appropriate budget and budget justification
    • Additional financial aspects
    • Fee for Grant Writing part one and two: $400 per person
  3. Leadership and management: Offered both online and in person
    • What is management? What is leadership? Why are they critical?
    • Leadership as self-assessment
    • Leadership Styles (complete a leadership styles assessment)
    • Cultivating your style
    • Leadership Skills & Emotional Intelligence
    • Building an effective team
  4. Information Technology (Available online and in person)
    • Graphic design
    • Adobe
    • Microsoft suites and
    • Customized IT programs
    • Simulation training programs in nursing
    • Fee: $400 per person
