Outreach Global Office received stuffed animals from the Crawfordville United Methodist Women’s fellowship on March 7, 2022, at the O.D. Smith Hall lobby. The stuffed was donation was in support of the Outreach Global’s office annual healthcare program in Ghana, West Africa.
JoAnn Laney, President, and Linda Self, Secretary of the Crawfordville United Methodist Women’s fellowship presented the stuffed animals to Dr. Elizabeth Quansah, Director of Outreach Global at a brief ceremony in O.D. Smith Hall. Special thank you to Dianne Pope, Treasurer, and the entire women’s fellowship members at the Crawfordville United Methodist for their support.
The Outreach Global office presented a “Certificate of Excellence” to AU Nursing Students for their active engagement during the recent Global Connect Virtual Nursing Program with Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology (KNUST), and University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. The program was developed by the Outreach Global office with the aim of enhancing cross-culture learning and understanding, and bringing international experiences to our students, faculty, staff and global partners virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic where students, faculty and staff cannot travel overseas for global engagement.
The Outreach Global office believes that it is critical to develop online transformational programs that meet our missions and also fill the void created by the pandemic. Special thank you to all our nursing faculty members: Dr. Valarie Thomas, Associate Clinical Professor, Mr. Brian Young, Assistant Clinical Professor, Dr. Tiffani Chidume, Assistant Clinical Professor, Mr. Christopher Martin, Assistant Clinical Professor, Ms. Andrea Smith, Assistant Clinical Professor and students who helped make this virtual program successful.
