Employee Appreciation Week
New events highlight Employee Appreciation Week
Employee Appreciation Week is a highlight on the university’s calendar, and last year was no exception. In fact, last year’s events were among the most well attended in the past several years!
Employee Appreciation Week is an opportunity to thank all employees (full-time, part-time, and temporary) for their work at Auburn. Last year, dozens of units kicked off the week with Departmental Appreciation Day, where they hosted their own unique events. From barbecue and waffles to games and music, there was plenty of food and fun!
Other events included:
-
Samford Lawn Yoga – Sponsored by the Office of Inclusion and Diversity, over 30 employees participated in this inaugural event, which was held under perfect weather conditions.
-
Employee Recognition Program – Over 600 employees were honored, including Spirit of Excellence recipients, Years of Service recipients, recent graduates, and Supervisor Pathways graduates. Four individuals were also recognized as Employees of the Year.
-
Walk @ Lunch - Dozens of employees participate in one of five walks across campus.
-
Night at the Museum - The Jule Collins Smith Museum was open late for gallery exploration and mindful making. A large crowd attended this inaugural event.
-
Football Complex Tours - Auburn Athletics welcomed hundreds of employees to an open house at the Woltosz Football Performance Center.
-
Departmental Showcase – Dozens of campus programs and organizations gathered at the Alumni Center to share information about their valuable work.
This year’s Employee Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 6-10. Additional information will be forthcoming.
