Projects with Campus Partners

Research Administration

The Office of Information Technology is currently working with the Provost's Office and Vice President for Research to implement a new Electronic Research Administration system. This project is in the requirements gathering phase which will be followed by a business process reengineering effort. Once those are complete, then the University will publish a request for proposals and start the search for a solution that meets Auburn's requirements.

CrashPlan

2018 brought the implementation of CrashPlan to campus. OIT worked with Alabama County Extension Services (ACES) and the Department of Agriculture on this project. CrashPlan allows for more robust automatic backups, information protection, and data recovery which protects the work taking place in extension offices.

NIST 800

The cybersecurity team is working closely with the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering to review our research regulatory standards. In order to stay competitive as an R1 institution, we must work toward NIST 800 compliance so researchers can confidently enter into contracts for research and funding.

Campuswide CRM

Under the direction of the Provost's Office, the Campus CRM project is currently in the process of reviewing proposals and selecting the solution that best meets Auburn's needs. Once that selection is complete, implementation will start, and the first phase of implementation is expected to take place during Fall 2019.
